Aquarium Installation
Our aquarium installation service covers everything from installing a minor piece of equipment such as an external canister filter within an existing aquarium to installing a full system unit including a complex sump filtration unit within a new aquarium.
The installation of a marine aquarium or tropical one for that matter needs to take into consideration key factors in and around the actual proposed site. Just a few of these considerations are highlighted below:
Natural Lighting - The over abundance of natural light can promote the growth of nuisance alga that if not eradicated will choke corals, reduce visibility to virtually nil and prevent the filtration unit from functioning at its designed optimum level thus endangering the aquarium inhabitants. Added to this, another significant affect would be to increase the water temperature which over a relatively short period would distress and ultimately lead to the death of the inhabitants.
Floor / Weight - Even a small aquarium will place a strain on any floor supports therefore it is essential to calculate the overall weight of aquarium. In some cases involving larger aquariums it may require the insertion of additional beams / girders; we can provide this service and any other building service as required.
Temperature - Is a crucial factor that must be addresses within the aquarium design but necessarily just applying water heating mechanism but designing an adequate cooling system as excusive heat will prove equally fatal for the aquarium inhabitants just as the lack of heat would.
